When people see 'DHL' eCommerce, they can get the wrong idea as to what this is and have unrealistic expectations.

This is NOT a courier. Do NOT expect regular or courier type tracking updates or courier speeds.

We use DHL Global Mail (DHL eCommerce Asia) for all small parcels because it is fast and efficient, and while it does partly use the postal service, in comparison, it is much better than the postal service on its own. While superior it is similar in that it is not 'trackable' like a courier and the delivery time can vary due to many factors including how customs are working at any given time. We have seen delivery take over 6-8 weeks on occasion however, most will find deliver to be MUCH faster.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

• Delivery is faster than normal post but it still can vary a lot and can't be accurately estimated
• DHL Global mail utilizes the Postal Service of Destination Country
• It is normal for tracking to not updated for a long time
• Tracking is really only to show you the parcel is on the way to you
• Tracking tells you where a parcel 'has been'
• Tracking does NOT tell you where it is or when it will arrive

TRACKING NOT MOVING:

It is normal for tracking to show arrival at a location and then no updates following this for a considerable amount of time. It is NOT an indication the parcel has not moved - only that it has not yet been scanned as reaching the next point - however, it can happen that a scan is missed! This is NOT a courier, and these things can and do happen, and it is normal.

• Awaiting Collection? Contacting the Local Post Office

You can contact the local post office ONLY once a parcel has been handed over to them.

HOWEVER, you need to quote the 'Local Tracking Number'.
